Jamal Qutub (he/him) is a Creative Crafter (I just made this title up, it sums me up pretty well though, I think) living and working in Portland, Oregon.
He’s passionate about creation and collaboration. He loves to lead and equally loves getting his hands dirty in design, motion, 3D, interactive, environmental, and any other form design might take.
Excited to help solve complex problems and helping to arrive at the most impactful solution is what really drives Jamal. (I’m also really excited about music and am currently learning production and how to play the electric guitar left-handed, wish me luck!)
He’s currently working full-time at Instrument as an Associate Creative Director on Brand Studio. On the side, he’s Creative Director at Nimpsy Studio, a minority-owned business (I’m the only employee, really), where he designs, creates, and produces motion for all kinds of screens.
Jamal loves working with clients and creative people, too! (I also love to nurture talent). He isn’t afraid of “automation” where needed. (I can see the benefits of some AI, I just use it sparingly.)
